Forum 8 installs seats that jerk, vibrate with screen action - Columbia Missourian

Forum 8 Theater recently added motion seating options, but there's a catch: Getting one of these moving seats tacks on another $8 to the ticket price.
The new chairs, which are called D-BOX motion seats, move in sync with the action on screen, featuring a moderate range of motion, vibrations and sudden jerks.  The technology is working its way through Goodrich Quality Theater locations in the Midwest and is already in use throughout the country. Forum 8 is the first theater equipped with the seats in Missouri.
Friday is the first day the motion seats are available inForum 8 Theater.  One screening room now has 26 D-BOX seats — two rows of regular seating have been replaced, as well as two handicapped seats.
