Autism may be tied to gluten sensitivity - Commentary | The Columbia Daily Tribune - Columbia, Missouri

I read your article about the increase in gluten sensitivity among Americans. Several possible causes were listed, as it is undeniable that there has been a real increase since the 1950s, but what I believe is the real cause was not included. Eighty percent to 90 percent of autistic children have a gluten sensitivity or a full-blown allergy to it and benefit greatly from the gluten-free, casein-free, (soy-free, egg-free, corn-free in some cases) diet.
