Agency plans fall event to build ramps for home access | The Columbia Daily Tribune - Columbia, Missouri

As many as 120 volunteers could be busy building as many as 20 wheelchair and home-access ramps in November as part of a project coordinated by Services for Independent Living.
Even though the one-day, Nov. 3 "Ramp Up" project date is five months away, SIL staff members are making the announcement now with the hope of recruiting enough volunteers to make the project successful.
" 'Ramp Up' is a community opportunity to impact lives individually," said Aimee Wehmeier, SIL executive director. "Independence is the greatest gift to give and receive."
